This quaint residence in South Highland was purchased by a fun, hip, young couple who wanted to put roots down in this historic neighborhood. They loved the location and all of the character, but one problem. It was updated….I know, I know, that normally would be a good thing, BUT Kelly and Gerritt envisioned a specific look that didn’t include the dark cabinets and builder grade granite.

Nice, up-to-date, but nothing special. That's where we come in!
In the kitchen, we added cabinets above the existing with glass doors and lighting. Had the cabinets refinished white, added Carrara marble countertops, painted the island and added custom trim, installed this great Walker Zanger backsplash, and added new, wood-look tile! Kelly and Gerritt also picked out these fabulous copper pendant lights from Rejuvenation!
Last, but definitely not least: the bathroom! In this room we added shiplap to the wall, added white, penny rounds to the floor, new light fixtures, new mirrors, new countertops, refinished cabinets and new paint!

At Red River Remodelers, Angie is the first person homeowners meet. Her role includes residential design, estimating, showroom visits, on-sight analysis of existing conditions, and coordination of pricing with all our trade partners. She is a native of Shreveport, wife and mother of two and has her own home that is her personal work in progress.
Angie holds a bachelors degree from the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at Northwestern State University of Louisiana where she was a duel major in Fashion Merchandising and Housing and Interiors. She is also a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Angie has worked in the Interior Design and Residential Construction field in Shreveport, LA since 1999.
